PELLUCIDITY
WEEK 1
The first week on production was running a little slow, I was quite focused on creating the perfect hat snatch scene that I neglected all other scenes . I was also undecided with regards to style for the background just yet so it was a slow and tedious stage of creating roughs. I also abandoned my original idea to use toon boom harmony and decided to stick with TV paint as I had more experience navigating the software.

WEEK 2
In week two came the discovery of the chromatic aberration effect, which gave the dream like memory feel I was aiming to get for the animation. I completed the hat snatch scene finally but was left rather behind schedule. Many of my shots also required re consideration for composition, post a composition lecture with Johnathan, This meant going back to the drawing board and having another look at the animatic.

WEEK 3
The third week was crunch time, Assisted by a friend Izrael pearman in 3D animation, He created a 3d model of the swimming pool scenes, I then put the 3d background in cinema 4d adding a character and adjusting the camera angels which I then used to rotoscope, colour and aberrated. This helped me with the composition issues I was having the week prior. Below are a few of the shot angels for 3d background the rest can be found in the notion link.

WEEK 4
The forth week I felt the delay, at this point I had a fair bit of animation left over to do which meant sacrificing my perfectionist mentality and going for a quantity over quality approach. with a minute 45 of animation to do, I was at major risk of having an incomplete animation in time for the crit or worse the showcase.
WEEK 5
The 5th week was preparation for the crit. I took references for the diving scene and animated it, I unfortunately did not have the time to include it in the crit but was completed in a much more speedy time in comparison to the other animations which meant I was getting the animation "flow"
WEEK 6
The animation was put together on premier pro. After putting the animation on premier pro and with very little time to spare until the showcase and hand in, I realised that a speedier working speed was not enough to complete the animation on time, 1 minute 45 of animation needs to be cut down which meant getting rid of the starting speed where I introduce the story.
WEEK 7
Continuing on the animating, the drowning and submersion seen. After-effects and post production played a large part in the fearful factors. 16mm film animation for the "birds" seen was used to depict the outer body experience. mildly imitating but exaggerating the visuals I "remember.
