TV PAINT

WEEK 1

In this week we got introduced to Tv paint as a medium for working on our lip sync project. We learnt the relationship we have as animators to acting and importance of body language and lip sync to the overall look and feel of our  characters.  I chose the 10 second clip from an argument with elements of sarcasm, I then recorded what is an attempt at acting out the scene which I will later use as reference for my animation. We also created character design/ character expression sheet and lip sync charts for our chosen character .

As you can see I attempted the character design twice, as this was one of the first animations I have made I chose to simplify the character to make the animation process much simpler.

(p.s I had no idea who Danny Boon was and nor did I know he was a real person so excuse me calling him Danny "BooM".)

WEEK 2

Continuing on from the previous week, I used the lip sync chart created on photoshop to animate the  lip-sync of my character on TV paint. I used the small board tool to write the "script " , a mirror was beneficial in helping me to mouth the words and letters as well as using the acting video as reference. The onion skin tool was greatly beneficial in keeping the mouth movement consistent.
